My State of ‘The Medium Union’ Address

Dear Tony,

I hate to bother you during the holidays but We the People, the Paying Patrons of the Medium Partner Program, are again burdened with the scamming and spamming, the stolen intellectual property, the theft of our earnings, the trolls and fake followers. This time it’s the identity theft of real writers being hijacked to push out invites to ‘The Medium Union.’

This has to stop.

I’m sure you’ve heard all about it but rather than assume you are hearing from enough voices, I’m raising mine. I’ll be brief.

What can be done to shut the doors on these types of people and accounts? What are you and your team doing now? What is the best way for us real people with good intentions to respond?

We have lost earnings when our articles are plagiarized and bastardized. We have lost precious time trying to report and block these accounts. We have lost some followers because they don’t know if we’re credible anymore.

We are losing, losing, losing.
